This winter has been exceptional as far as Vancouver weather goes! So many more days without rain then any other year I can remember.
Cold with sunshine make for great (short) photo tours with breaks to go over techniques and warm up at one of the MANY coffee shops.
When photographing in fog or on the ski slopes or white sand beaches, it is a good idea to intentionally over-expose by a stop or so. This will help your images be brighter and closer to what you see with your eyes.
